“No Regrets” Altered Frame

I love using Tim Holtz’s Distressed Inks!  They make everything they touch feel Vintage!  Maybe it’s because I consider myself to be pretty “Vintage” that I like them.   I took a picture of our family on our Wedding Day – 17 years ago-and copied it in black and white.   Now that’s vintage!!!  I glued a page from a hymnal to Grunge Paper and then cut out my doll figure.  I used Vintage Photo and Wild Honey and sponged it on with my sponge tool.  I also used Tim’s new Hanging Sign die to make the blue outline in the corner.  The Blue is from Faded jeans and Broken China and then I sprayed it with a Mini Mister that contained Blue Patina & Chipped Sapphire and water.  It sort of looks like a blue wrought iron gate- Love it!   I found the sentiment on the internet and it was exactly what I wanted to say.  The metal buttons in the top right corner are from

my Mom’s metal button stash that she has saved over many years- the antique key is from  her stash too!    I bought a $3.00 picture mat and painted it with Tim’s Tarnish Brass Crackle paint- then brushed it with Forest Moss to help show the crackle!   The frame cost me about $4.00.  I loved using Ten Second Studio’s colored metal to cover the frame!!  It is so much fun to use the Cuttlebug folders and Ten Second Studio’s  molds to add design to the metal.    I had a blast making this – I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Love your frame. My favorite is the cut out doll. I think Tim will be very impressed with this project. I might even get into some metal works of my own. Great job!! Your phots is so cute, too.

  2. Love your new look. Header is so serene.
